Course description:
This program offers not only the opportunity to acquire contemporary management knowledge and skills but, more importantly, it provides students with the ability to apply that knowledge in innovative, creative and entrepreneurial ways. The program develops skilled managers and competent leaders who are entrepreneurially oriented, globally focused and socially conscious in a diverse and complex world. Specifically the MBA prepares students to engage and deal with uncertainty, change and opportunity in the environments in which their organisations operate. The program prepares students to successfully improve and manage their careers while leading and managing enterprises in a complex, global and competitive environment.
Entry requirements:
Students must have an appropriate undergraduate qualification at a credit level from a recognised institution as well as a minimum of three years work experience. Candidates who do not hold an appropriate qualification but who have significant relevant work experience (usually at least five years) and evidence of academic capability may be admitted initially to the graduate certificate. Progression to enrolment in the masters program requires completion of the requirements for gaining the graduate certificate. Students should also fulfil any one of the following English language requirements: satisfactory completion of the Swinburne English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Level 2 program with a teacher's recommendation for the required level of study; obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band score of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0; TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 575 (with Test of Written English (TWE) score of 5); TOEFL computer-based minimum score of 232 with a Writing score of 5 or TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 90 with no band less than 22.
