Course description:
This course is designed primarily at middle and senior managers looking to improve their standing in industry. It combines current business theory and local and international perspectives with hands-on project work. The program is interwoven with a core set of values reflecting their commitment to ethical and sustainable corporate governance practices. Through constant exposure to the culture of excellence at their Graduate School of Business, students can be assured that their MBA will prepare students for the challenges of an ever-changing business environment. This course aims to provide students with a thorough foundation in contemporary business theories. Students studies will emphasize the creation and critical evaluation of innovative ideas and strategies within ambiguous and uncertain business environments. Throughout the course students will complete a specialist major in health management, human services, marketing or strategic procurement. Students may alternatively choose the business administration major to complete a broad range of high level, general business units. They may choose to complete an additional four units (four months full-time equivalent) in order to receive the award of Master of Business Administration (Advanced).
Entry requirements:
Students are required to complete a bachelor degree or equivalent, or their Graduate Certificate in Business with an average grade of 70 percent or better, plus at least three years' relevant work experience. High performing applicants without an appropriate academic background may be admitted and required to complete bridging or special course units. This may extend the course duration. Selection is based on a range of information including previous academic results, referee reports, relevance of work experience, career aspirations and test results. Students application should include their curriculum vitae (CV) and referee reports. Students may be required to attend an interview as part of the application process. Students minimum English language entry requirements are IELTS Academic scores(International English Language Testing System) for Writing - 6.0, Speaking - 6.0, Reading - 6.0, Listening - 6.0 with an over all band score - 6.5 and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores 570 in paper based, 230 in computer based, 92 - Internet based and 4.5 minimum test of written English (TWE).
