Course summary
This course provides graduates with the knowledge and expertise to identify and manage a range of soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries and to assist with the prevention of such injuries. Techniques covered include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, seated and pregnancy massage, facilitated stretching, lymphatic drainage, sports massage techniques, joint mobilization techniques and myofascial release just to name a few. The Diploma of Remedial Massage is assessed through practical, written, case studies, massage clinic and assignments. Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be eligible for a HLT50307 Diploma of Remedial Massage, also 14 units from the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice are a pre requisite requirement for entry into this qualification.
