Course description:
The diploma is offered in two parts. Part 1 is equivalent to Australian Year 12 or Foundation Year program and Part 2 is equivalent to first year of an undergraduate degree and provides guaranteed entry to second year of Monash University Information Technology degrees. Students are required to complete a wide range of compulsory subjects covering all aspects of computing. They include accounting, communication, computing applications and technology, mathematics, programming, systems analysis, quantitative analysis, mathematics, networks and multimedia. A small number of business electives are also available.
Entry requirements:
Students must have Equivalent Australian Year 12. English was the language of instruction in secondary or tertiary studies completed, or A satisfactory level of performance in an approved English language subject was achieved at Australian Year 11 or 12 (or equivalent), or Other English language proficiency requirements are IELTS: Part 1: 5.5 (no band lower than 5.0), Part 2: 6.5 (no band lower than 6.0), TOEFL (including Test of Written English): Part 1: 527, TWE 4, Part 2: 550, TWE 4.5, TOEFL (including Essay Writing): Part 1: 197, ER 4, Part 2: 213, ER 5

This campus provides accommodation through Halls of Residence, Normanby House and South East Flats. Halls of Residence and Normanby House have their own facilities, including common rooms, lounges, laundry facilities, colour TVs, piano, a large-screen projection TV and video system with surround sound, billiard table, table tennis, computer laboratories and extensive self-catering kitchens. The South East Flats accommodate 114 students in 30 furnished flats ranging from two to five bedrooms.

This campus offers students the opportunity to live in a secure environment in furnished, self contained Residences located close to all campus facilities. The residences have private lockable bedrooms with one student to a bedroom, and common facilities shared with the other residents such as lounge room, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and laundry. These residences are located on the campus boundary and are also close to the Leawarra railway station, one stop from the busy Frankston township.
