Course description:
The diploma is offered in two parts. Part 1 is equivalent to Australian Year 12 or Foundation Year program and Part 2 is equivalent to first year of an undergraduate degree and Studies provides guaranteed entry to second year of Monash University Arts degrees. They include media studies, psychology, human behaviour, newsroom practice and theory, lifespan development, communication studies.
Entry requirements:
Students must have a equivalent Australian Year 12. English was the language of instruction in secondary or tertiary studies completed, A satisfactory level of performance in an approved English language subject was achieved at Australian Year 11 or 12 (or equivalent), Other English language proficiency requirements are GCE or O or A level General Paper (English): C, Malaysia SPM / STPM English: A1 or A2 and Hong Kong CEE English Syllabus B: C. IELTS: Part 1: 5.5 (no band lower than 5.0), Part 2: 6.5 (no band lower than 6.0), TOEFL (including Test of Written English): Part 1: 527, TWE 4, Part 2: 580, TWE 4.5, TOEFL (including Essay Writing): Part 1: 197, ER 4, Part 2: 237, ER 5.
