Course description:

This qualification consists of 8 core units plus 2 elective units. Learners must complete all the units to obtain this qualification. All these units were drawn from ANTA's (Australian National Training Authority) Electrotechnology Package (UTE99). In part the training program is conducted in workplace environment. Units are based on practical work experience in electrotechnology industry. Some units are featured by online tutorials. Exercises are provided at the end of each training session for learners to practice the skills learned. Real life scenarios are given to learners to work through the real situations. The core units are: UTE NES106C A Install electrical/electronic apparatus (Electronics), UTE NES206C A Maintain and repair apparatus and circuits (Electronics), UTE NES301C A Undertake commissioning of apparatus and circuits (Electronics), UTE NES402C A Test apparatus and circuits (Electronics), UTE NES501C A Diagnose and rectify faults in apparatus and circuits (Electronics), UTE NES009 A Participate in the training of others, UTE NES105G A Install and terminate wiring systems (Cabling/wiring support and protection), UTE NES105I A Install and terminate wiring systems (Power and control - extra low voltage) and the elective units are: UTE NES209 A Attach flexible cords and plugs to electrical equipment 250 volt supply (Appliances), UTE NES007 A Supply projects.
